Crescent Fagon is Vincent Alloing's own consulting firm, established in 2009
Graduate from the French graduate school of business "Ecole Supérieure de Gestion", promotion year 1989 (now renamed Paris School of Business), my career as financial controller, and my attraction for foreign languages led me to several countries of Northern Europe (UK, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland) in major anglo-saxon groups (Diageo, IBM, Triumph, Deutsche Boerse etc)
Now, I would like to communicate and share my passion for history, my love of these three old nations of Europe (UK, Germany, France) and their amazing cultural heritage and history, that we do not praise with enough enthusiasm in my opinion.
During more than 15 years in Northern Europe, I got increasingly aware of the shared fascination of each of these 3 great nations for their neighbour(s) on the other side of the Channel or of the Rhine.
I am based in the South of Burgundy, 1 hour drive North West of Lyon, at the heart of a rural area called Charolais - famous for the "dames blanches", a cream-white cow breed, whose quality of meat is known well outside of France - and just 20 minutes drive from the Beaujolais area.
I am very fond of Southern England, in particular South West England, with Somerset and Devon. My passion for history and legends, my fascination for beautiful landscapes brings me closer to the magical little town of Glastonbury in Somerset, where I would like to live a few months a year.
I believe that France is at last in the course of a major change. The younger generation is a business friendly generation, and the number of new businesses and start-up in France is a boost to France's renewal, to a well needed change in our mentalities. Overall, I am positive, as the capacity to reduce our public spendings is huge with over 3 million unemployed people, with the stifling influence of the state in the economy (public spendings represent 57% of the GNP!), the recurrent deficits of the annual budget, which take us into dangerous territories... but a balanced annual budget is surely not out of reach, with the enormous potential savings through a reduction of the perimeter of the state and cuts in unproductive public services. If only we had a little bit of political will...
